Six years, two contractors, $720 million dollars, and millions misspent from 2005, Bolshoi Theater will open  its doors to public in the splendor of the resurrected pre-revolutionary interior. Turning 231 this year, Bolshoi theater now boasts orchestra pit large enough for Wagner, private showers for prima ballerinas, and a special padded stage to soften the tapping of the feet in the Dance of the Little Swans.  One of the Russian arcs of art, history , and splendor is back in the ranks of the greatest classical stages of the world.
